RPF SI Preparation Tips 2026

  • Focus on Conceptual Learning: Since the RPF SI examination is conducted at the graduation level, strengthen your concepts instead of relying only on memorization.
  • Build a Strong General Awareness Routine: Revise weekly or monthly current affairs regularly and watch revision lectures from a reliable YouTube channel to cover important events efficiently.
  • Study Static GK Through Video Lectures: Topics such as History, Geography, Polity, Economy, and General Science become easier to understand through concept-based video lectures. Make short notes while studying for quick revision.
  • Practice Questions Under Time Limits: Solve Arithmetic and Reasoning questions with a timer to improve speed, accuracy, and time management for the CBT.
  • Analyze Previous Year Papers: Study previous years’ question papers to identify frequently asked topics and understand the overall difficulty level of the examination.
  • Attempt Mock Tests Consistently: Take one or two full-length mock tests every week and carefully analyze your mistakes. Improving weak areas is more important than simply increasing your score.
  • Prepare Digital Revision Notes: Maintain concise notes for formulas, current affairs, important constitutional articles, and factual General Awareness topics. These notes will be valuable during the final revision.
  • Use Audio Learning During Free Time: Listen to current affairs podcasts, revision audios, or your own recorded notes while travelling or exercising to maximize revision without adding extra study hours.
  • Start Physical Training Early: Along with CBT preparation, begin regular running practice and train for the long jump and high jump. Early physical preparation will help you perform better in the PET.
  • Avoid Too Many Study Sources: Select one trusted book and one reliable online source for each subject. Revising the same material multiple times is more effective than collecting numerous books and courses.
