SSC CHSL syllabus is divided into 4 parts in which math is an integral part of the syllabus.  math is a conceptual subject if you know its principal then this is the easiest subject for you. you can score very well in math, it will improve your rank in the SSC exam. 

The candidate who is not from a math background doesn’t understand very well maths subject, if you are from a maths background you can understand it and you can score very well in your SSC exam, the math standard in the SSC CHSL Exam is around class 10th level

Number Systems:

Computation of Whole Number, Decimal and Fractions, Relationship between numbers.

Fundamental arithmetical operations:

Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest (Simple and Compound), Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time and work.

Algebra:

Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations.

Geometry:

Familiarity with elementary geometric figures and facts: Triangle and its various kinds of centers, Congruence, and similarity of triangles.

Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles.

Mensuration:

Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular
Cylinder.

Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base.

Trigonometry:

Trigonometry, Trigonometric ratios, Complementary angles, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities like sin2 ???? + Cos2 ????=1 etc.,

Statistical Charts:

Use of Tables and Graphs: Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar-diagram, Pie-chart.

English Language (Basic Knowledge)	25 QUESTION	50 MARKS
General Intelligence	25 QUESTION	50 MARKS
Quantitative Aptitude (math)	25 QUESTION	50 MARKS
General Awareness	25 QUESTION	50 MARKS

Time Duration (For all four Parts) – 60 Minutes (80 Minutes for candidates eligible for scribes.

The questions will be set both in English & Hindi.

There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
