SBI Apprentice Exam Pattern

Aspirates have to undergo a three-step selection process.

  • Written Test
  • Local Language Test
  • Medical Test

While each one of these steps holds the utmost importance, the written test is totally based on the candidate’s academic skills and command over the subjects. Thus, candidates can increase their chances of selection by performing better at the written test.   1. Written Test – SBI Apprentice

The bank requires candidates who apply for the SBI Apprentice exam to prove their ability through a written exam. The written test will contain a total of 100 questions (1 mark for each). Take a look at the table given below for your better understanding.

  • The written test will be divided into four sections based on the subjects, and there will be a dedicated time of 15 minutes for each section. The total time of the test will be 1 hour.
  • The question paper will be completely objective type.
  • On each wrong answer, 1/4 of the mark will be deducted as a penalty.
  • Candidates are required to show an identity proof to enter the examination hall.

2. Local Language Test

The candidate is required to be skilled at one of the local languages of the selected state. Those who successfully clear the written exam are called for the Local Language Test. Under this test, the bank makes sure that the candidate is proficient in reading, writing, and speaking a local language. Candidates who fail to prove their expertise in one of the local languages are not considered for a further stage of the selection procedure.

Notably, if an aspirate has had a local language as a part of his/her curriculum in 10th or 12th, he/she will not have to appear for the Language Test.

3. Medical Test.

Candidates, who pass both written and language tests, have to finally appear for a medical test. The bank selects candidates who are found to be medically fit as per their requirements.
