The vacancies have been out for the post of Constable Executive, Armed/IRP, HG/CD/SDRF in Ladakh Police.
The selection procedure has 5 stages, we will discuss each of them one by one.
The Total vacancies for Ladakh police constables for 2021 are 213, which means there will be a medium type of competition among the student who is appearing in this exam.

Ladakh Police Constable Selection Procedure
There is a total five-stage in the selection of constables in Ladakh police, we will go through each one of them.
The selection process shall consist of the following compulsory tests in the given order
I -Physical Measurement Test
II- Physical Endurance Test
III – Scrutiny of original documents/testimonials
IV – Desired Qualification Test
V – Written examination (objective type)
Physical Measurement Test
Standards of Physical measurement shall be as provided in Schedule-II(A) of the Ladakh Police (subordinate) Service Recruitment Rules 2021, reproduced below for ready reference:-
- Height male = minimum 162 cms
- Height female = minimum 152 cms
- Chest (only for male candidates):-
- Unexpended = minimum 81 cms
- Expended = minimum 85 cms.
Note-1: candidates who don’t qualify for the physical measurement test shall be disqualified and shall not be allowed to participate in the remaining
recruitment process.

Physical endurance test
Physical endurance tests shall be taken only of those candidates who qualify for the physical measurement tests. The physical endurance shall be of a maximum of 50 marks and shall consist of the following activities:
a. Long race (1600 meters for male: 1000 meters for female) – 25 marks
b. Short sprint (100 meters) – 25 marks
The candidates shall be allocated marks for the above activates based on their performance. The performance-based marks allocated and
disqualification cutoff shall be as tabulated below:


Note 1:- Candidates shall qualify for both the tests separately.
Note 2:- Only Candidates who qualify for the long race shall be eligible for Short Sprint.

Scrutiny of original documents
Candidates who qualify for the physical endurance test shall submit their original documents/testimonials, along with self-attested photocopies of the documents/testimonials, for scrutiny.
(The scrutiny is provisional and all documents/testimonials shall be subjected to verification through the concerned authority).
Desired qualification test
The test shall be conducted only for those candidates whose documents/testimonials have been scrutinized and claimed in their application that they possess one of the below-desired qualifications:
a. Proficiency in driving and possession of Light Motor Vehicle Driving License with TRANS.
b. One-year certificate course in Computer Application from an AICTE recognized institution.
For candidates possessing desired qualification (i) above driving test shall be conducted. The driving test shall be conducted as per the latest
driving test guideline formulated by the relevant department in the UT Administration.
For candidates possessing desired qualification (ii) above written test and/or practical exam shall be conducted.
Ladakh Police Constable Written examination
The toughness of the questions in the written exam will be class 10th level, so you need not prepare very hard books, so go to simple books and make your own strategy to qualify for this exam.
All candidates who have qualified for the physical measurement test and whose documents/testimonials have been scrutinized and found correct shall be put through a written examination which shall be of 80 minutes duration.
The written exam will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions and each question carrying 01 mark.
There will be no negative marking for the wrong answers.
The question paper for the written exam will be in English only. The question paper shall be of matriculation level. The syllabus for the examination is as follows.
