Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Central Hindu School (CHS) Varanasi SET class VI,IX,XI Syllabus and Exam pattern 2021
The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) admits boys and girls each year in classes VI, IX, and XI in the Central Hindu Boys School and Central Hindu Girls School through a common entrance test.
Admission procedure in the above class starts from 1st April. Application forms for admission to the above class are available in the month of April through online mode.
Students are admitted to class VI, IX, and XI through the School Entrance Test (SET) conducted by B.H.U. in the month of May every year.
Affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Delhi, these schools have a glorious history of providing excellent education in Arts, Commerce, Home Science, Science, and Agriculture streams along with adequate sports and extra-co-curricular activities to ensure all-round personality development of both boys and girls.
Selection Procedure of BHU-CHS Varanasi Entrance Examination
A merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the Entrance Test for admission in each class and the candidates will be allotted seats in the concerned class strictly on the basis of merit.
Counseling sessions will be there before allotting seats for students according to their merit rank.

BHU CHS EXAM FAQ

For class VI there are 90 seats available and for Class IX 100 seats are available.
Out of the total seats, 15% are reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates, 7.5% are reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates and 27 % are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) candidates.
The candidate must submit separate application forms for different streams for Class XI if he/she wishes to apply for more than one stream.
